Cooperatives vs Corporations

It’s time for a new global business model!

Civilization is experiencing a global realignment of power happening right now. At the nation-state level, the “East” team of China-Russia-India and the “West” team USA led -Americas-Europe alignments. Leaving the rest of the world picking teams. At the heart of this East vs. West realignment is control over Earth’s capital resources and the human population’s work.

Power has always been the #1 goal for every human regardless of rank in society. Corporations are the means to that end for the elite in our current society. To end the tyranny of the multinational crony capitalist corporations over humanity we must transition from corporations to cooperatives!

Please allow me to take a moment to educate why Corporations are the problem. Corporations are non-human entities gifted “legal person” status by society’s laws which includes certain rights that should ONLY be allowed to humans. Corporations are designed to extract value from capital inputs (workers) for the benefit of the billionaire oligarch stock controllers at the top. Cooperatives are designed to meet the needs of their member-owners at the bottom.

Corporations are seeking to build empires based on subscription serfdom. The neo-feudalist dystopia our modern-day billionaire oligarchs aka Multinational Crony Capitalist Corporations are building to dominate humanity. We own nothing and the corporations own everything. We will simply exist to work as employees (slaves)to earn enough to pay our corporate masters licensing fees to rent our way to death.

Cooperatives are the solution!

Cooperatives are the opposite of corporations. Coops put the power into the hands of those at the bottom. For example, a corporate employee only receives compensation usually based on the energy of time & physical labor spent delivering specific value to the corporation. The corporation takes that investment of energy we’ll call WORK, puts a profit markup, and resells it to the customers of the corporation. The corporation takes the profit achieved from exploiting the energy of the workers and passes the rewards up to the corporation's stockholders, who did no actual work in delivering the goods and services to the customers. Cooperatives exist to serve the member stakeholders. For example, when a cooperative achieves a surplus as a result of meeting the needs of the member stakeholders that surplus is given back to the members as a dividend. So the members receive the rewards of their capital staking of labor, intellectual property, and social network to the cooperative enterprise.

It is actually quite a disappointment to me that as humans we would even allow corporations to exist any longer. As long as corporations continue to exist global poverty and human exploitation will continue! When you look at the corporation/employee relationship, how it is not glaringly obvious that this is a feudal Lord/Serf relationship just reframed into a new structure.

Fortunately, there is a way forward! We simply transition from corporations to cooperatives and put the power into the member stakeholders!
